Co-planner in your AI tools (MCP)

Use the Co-planner from your own AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot Studio) by connecting it to Flowlity through MCP.

The Co-planner is built into the Flowlity app: see Co-planner. If you prefer to work from your own AI assistant, you can connect it to Flowlity through MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard that lets an assistant use external tools. Your assistant then reads your Flowlity data the way the Co-planner does, next to your other tools, such as your CRM or spreadsheets.

Supported assistants: Claude (web, desktop and Claude Code), ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot Studio, which also publishes to Microsoft 365 and Teams.

What your assistant can do

Read your data, for the sites and products your account can see:

  • stock levels, stock coverage and stock history

  • demand, forecasts, forecast accuracy and My Forecast history

  • orders, order alerts, stockouts without firm orders, and a weekly supply review

  • product details, planning, and product, supplier and tag constraints

  • KPIs, trends, alerts and capacity

  • promotions and their results, customers, end-of-life items, comments and saved views

Make a few changes, and only these:

  • create promotions and forecast events

  • create saved views, and change or delete the views you created

  • publish a result as a web page and give you its link (without changing your Flowlity data)

It cannot validate or change orders, edit forecast values by hand, or change settings.

Follow Flowlity's procedures for recurring jobs, such as a weekly replenishment review. See Skills.

Before you start

  • A Flowlity account. Your assistant sees exactly what this account sees in the app.

  • Access to Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot Studio, on a plan that allows custom connectors.

  • The Flowlity server URL: https://co-planner.app.flowlity.com/mcp

How to connect Claude

1

Add a custom connector

On claude.ai, open Settings > Connectors and click Add custom connector.

2

Fill in the connector

Enter Flowlity as the name and https://co-planner.app.flowlity.com/mcp as the server URL. Leave the advanced settings empty unless your Customer Success Manager gave you a client ID. Click Add.

3

Click Connect and sign in with the same email as your Flowlity account.

4

Check the connection

Start a new conversation and ask "List all my Flowlity sites". If your sites appear, the connection works.

How to connect ChatGPT

1

Turn on developer mode

On chatgpt.com, open Settings, go to the advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.

2

Create the app

In Apps, create a new app and enter https://co-planner.app.flowlity.com/mcp as the server URL. Sign-in is detected automatically: no client ID is needed.

3

Sign in and check

Authorize with your Flowlity account, then ask "List all my Flowlity sites".

How to connect Microsoft Copilot Studio and Teams

Copilot Studio adds Flowlity as a tool of a custom agent, which you can then publish to Microsoft 365 and Teams.

1

Create an agent

Skip this if you already have one. Give it a name, for example coplanner, and click Create.

Copilot Studio dialog to name and create a new agent
2

Add a tool

Open the agent's Tools tab and click Add a tool.

Copilot Studio Tools tab with the Add a tool button
3

Choose MCP

In the Add tool dialog, choose Add new MCP.

4

Describe the Flowlity server

Fill in the Model Context Protocol server form:

  • Server name: for example flowlity mcp.

  • Server description: for example Flowlity Co-planner, for data analysis on Flowlity's data.

  • Server URL: https://co-planner.app.flowlity.com/mcp

  • Authentication: OAuth 2.0, type Dynamic discovery.

Add a Model Context Protocol server form with name, description, URL and OAuth 2.0
5

Create the connection

Under Connection, click Create new connection. On the sign-up page, create your account with the same email as your Flowlity account, verify your email, then come back and sign in.

6

Publish to Microsoft 365 and Teams

Open the Channels tab, select Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams, turn on Make available in Microsoft 365 Copilot, then publish.

7

Check the connection

Start a conversation with your agent and ask "List all my Flowlity sites".

How to connect Claude Code

1

Add the server

In a terminal, run:

Add --scope user to use it in all your projects.

2

In Claude Code, type /mcp, choose flowlity and follow the sign-in in your browser, with the same email as your Flowlity account.

To share the server with a project instead, add it to the project's .mcp.json file:

How to check that the connection works

1

Ask for your sites

In a new conversation, ask "List all my Flowlity sites".

2

If no site appears

Check that you signed in with the same email as your Flowlity account, then disconnect and reconnect the connector. If it still fails, contact your Customer Success Manager.

3

Try a first question

For example: "Give me a summary of my KPIs for site Paris", "Which products have stock coverage below 7 days?", or "Show me the 5 products with the worst forecast accuracy".

Security and privacy

  • Same account, same permissions: the connection uses your Flowlity account. You only see the sites and data you already have access to.

  • OAuth 2.0: you sign in with your Flowlity account through the OAuth 2.0 standard. Your password is never shared with the assistant, and no API key is needed.

  • Private database access: database connections run through private networks.

  • Real data: when the assistant calls a Flowlity tool, the tool runs a real query on your data. Only the assistant's wording and interpretation can vary.

Where does your data go?

It depends on which Co-planner you use.

  • Co-planner in the Flowlity app: the conversation, the tool calls and the model all run on Flowlity's side. The model is hosted on Microsoft Azure within Flowlity's cloud, under Flowlity's enterprise agreements. Your data is excluded from model training and no third-party AI account is involved. This is the recommended option for sensitive data.

  • Your own AI assistant: the Flowlity server only returns the data your account is allowed to see, and only when the assistant asks for it. Your AI provider then processes those results under your own agreement with them, like a document you paste into the assistant. Flowlity does not control how your provider stores or uses that data, so use a business or enterprise plan that excludes your data from training, or an assistant deployed in your own cloud (for example Copilot Studio in your Microsoft tenant).

In both cases the server never exposes more than your account can already see in the app.

FAQ

Does the assistant see all my company data?

No. It sees the sites and products assigned to your Flowlity account, like you do in the app.

Can the assistant make up figures?

The figures come from real queries on your data. The assistant's summary or interpretation can still be imprecise, so check important decisions in the app.

Is there a cost?

You need a Flowlity account. AI usage costs (subscriptions, tokens) depend on the AI provider you choose.

Can I use Flowlity with other tools in the same conversation?

Yes. In one conversation, your assistant can use Flowlity next to your CRM, your ERP, spreadsheets or any other connected tool.
